Date with .net version2.0

DATE With .NET version2.0 (preparations) Hi, I am back with the detailed report of Date with .net version 2.0… Sorry for the delay... The discursions for this event started way back in the month of August. It was supposed to be held on 15th October at MSRIT. But as we know everything takes it own time, this event got delayed and due to some sessions and stuff even the MSRIT auditorium was not available. But this course of time saw major changes in the whole organizing committee. Deepak who took major role in organizing the Date with .net version 1.0 backed suddenly due to some household and personal reasons. Then we had a new champ from R.V.C.E………… The one and only SUNIL JAGADISH (Handled Exception). After deepak started to back Me, SABARISH and SUNIL took over the organizing of the event. We had a no. of Sleepless nights. I may have slept some nights but really I appreciate the interest Sunil and Sabarish. These two people took care of everything for the event. The only thing I did was just to discuss the things in the final stages and finalize it. At some points of time even Sowmya took interest in things. Now let me tell about publicity. I really appreciate the way Sridari and Tejas approached the News Papers for publicizing the event. They went to THE HINDU and DECCAN HERALD. Both the News papers had put about the event in their papers on 4th Novembers edition. HINDU has also put the same on the web. The URL is…… http://www.hindu.com/2004/11/04/stories/2004110416080300.htm Now let me talk about the Last Week i.e. 1st November – 4th November The whole week Sabarish, Sunil, I, Nanditha and Rishabh never attended the classes. Thanks to KEVIN we got an official letter from Microsoft® to the HOD’s requesting them to give us attendance. This really helped us to cope up with the attendance. This week we ran around for the printing of T-Shirts, Printing and distributing the Tickets, Printing of Certificates, Getting Money from End 2 End and Settlements of few bills, contacting the A/V person etc… On 3rd i.e. Wednesday we all went to R.V.C.E. This day even Sowmya joined us. We met the HOD of MCA Dept… R.V.C.E. Prof. Sumithra Devi. Really we need to thank her as she and the whole Dept. of M.C.A (Students and Staff) helped us throughout the event. Then on Thursday all the champs met at the Venue (R.V.C.E) and the preparations began. The Champs were there by 11:00 in the morning but we the main organizing team had to reach late as we had the last minute running to be done. We had the Banners to be printed, some posters etc… We reached around 1:30. But on this day I really have to appreciate all the Champs including the organizing committee namely… Krishna, Prajwal, Nandish, Pavan, Ashwin, Deepthi Rao, Sayor, Mahantesh, Vishal, Yashaswini, Nityanand, and many more… I need to thank Sharath M S, the honorary member BDotNETStudent for all his support and help throughout the event and later… I find this is the end of the preparations now comes the FINALS i.e. 5th and 6th of November…… Wait for my next blog……
